Faith Presbyterian Church is involved with many missions in our community and abroad. Some of the programs we
regularly participate in are:
BelAir food bank - Each week, we collect items for the BelAir food bank, located at BelAir United Methodist
Church on Shelley Mullis Rd. Though we give a specific idea of what to bring each week, based on what the food
bank needs, all items are welcome!
Second Harvest food distribution - Several times a year, our church partners with BelAir United Methodist to
sponsor a truck from the Second Harvest food bank in Charlotte. Church members join together for the distribution,
helping to bag food donations and pass them out to families in need from this area. We have served up to 300
family units at one of these distributions, so the need is out there!
5th Sunday Offerings - On "fifth Sundays" of any month, we take up a special offering at worship to help to
restock the "pastor's emergency fund" so that we can help folks from the community who come to the church with
crises, such as power or heat about to be shut off, etc.
Lancaster Children's Home - Contributions of time, computer skills, needed items, and funds have been given to
the Lancaster Children's Home to help the boys and girls there.
Kairos Prison Ministry - Our church participates in this prison outreach by providing cookies for a yearly weekend
outreach to the inmates.
Dimes for Hunger - Faith participates with the other churches of Providence Presbytery by collecting money each
October to help feed the hungry. Funds are split between local and Central American ministries of our presbytery
